These last few classes we’ve been working with tests for different things. We learned about the test for Starch, for Proteins, for Vitamin C, for reducing Sugars and for Lipids. Heres a document were you’ll find all the tests we’ve been working on and the questions I answered from the interactive video we watched and used for these activities: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r5kpj7upOeOgViLYCkHSEniTXXdRdTfYf513S_1adT0/edit Here’s the link to the interactive video and the quiz we did after finishing: https://learning.cambridgeinternational.org/classroom/course/view.php?id=2993

Coronavirus, soap and biomolecules
Last class we worked with the coronavirus, the soap and the biomolecules. I made a document were you will find the answers to the multiple choice questions and the link of the audio in which i answered the questions and talked about the connection between these three things, here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BYzm4GH6SBAQOkK2QVlZ1tyQqqAhWjPQYWSCSOUwbDk/edit
Biology test for starch
On wednesday, 25/3 we watched a video about the testing for starch and then we answred some questions. This is my document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1L1P_jJT_FnnfXJSncA0xebRiBQjprh4uWzSXRqxGA9A/edit
This is the audio of me explaining and answering the questions:

Biology Worksheet
Today, 20/3 in biology we completed individually a worksheet. Here is my document where you’ll find the questions and answers for question 1 to 27: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ARTTmQkjt3flwp2oyFlDNafvAGjBI_zhu3aevuCY2cc/edit
Biological Drawing 18/3
Today 18/3, we made biological drawings. here’s a picture of mine:
After drawing we had to make a checklist
here’s the checklist: http://cadem.cumbresblogs.com/files/2016/03/checklist.pdf
2 marks if you did it really well
1 mark if you made a good attempt at it, and partly succeeded.
0 marks if you did not try to do it, or did not succeed.
You used a sharp pencil and rubbed out mistakes really thoroughly. 2
You have drawn single lines, not many tries at the same line.2
You have shown the specimen the right shape, and with different parts in the correct proportions.1
You have made a really large drawing, using the space provided.2
You have included all the different structures that are visible on the specimen.1
You have drawn label lines with a ruler, touching the structure being labelled.1
You have written the labels horizontally and neatly, well away from the diagram itself. 1
Take 1 mark off if you used any shading or colours. 2
total (out of 14) = 12
Finally, we had to make an audio of us explaing how we made the drawing,

Chemicals of life (exit ticket)
Today, 17/3 Ceci told us to watch a video in her blog about biomolecules. Heres the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=484&v=YO244P1e9QM&feature=emb_logo
After watching the video our task was to make and exit ticket or slip about what we learned from this class.
The most important thing I learned today was:
the most important thing i learned today was the four biomolecules: carbohydrates, lipids (fats), proteins and nucleic acid and their monomers.
I need help with:
I think im going to need help with remembering all the things i learned from the video, for example what are each of these biomolecules made of.
I would like to learn about:
I think i would like to learn more about this topic. I find it interesting and fun. I would also like to learn more about carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids because they are really important in our daily life and it would be great to know more about them,
Lab Safety Rules
Today 6/3 we worked in groups and made a doc about the lab safety rules. I worked with Juana Tesan, Juana Fernandez Calvo, Mora Sturla, Catalina Pernarcic and Nina Gil.
this is our document: lab safety rules
Lab Work 4/3
Today 4/3 we went to the Lab and Ceci told us to answer the following questions in groups, (I was with Rosario Omodeo Vanone, Juana Tesanl, Juana Fernandez Calvo and Mora Sturla).
QUESTIONS:
- WHAT is different in the LAB?
- WHO do you think the idea was?
- WHY do you think this changes were made?
ANSWERS:
- Tables, shelfs, new computer, ligths, drawers and the color of the walls, shelfs and tables.
- We think that it was the school´s idea. In our opinion the changes are good, but it is still very hot in there.
- Because the school wants us to learn how to work in groups (as a team), also because there is more space and we can work better than before.
Then Ceci showed us the following video (from her blog) about safety rules for the LAB.
Potato chart and pictures
These last classes, with Juan Manuel Criniti, we took care of a potato

Food Test 27/11/19
On wednesday at the afternoon we did an experiment to test different foods. We had two test tubes. The test tube 1 had egg white and the test tube 2 cooking oil and the Reagent was biuret.
the results were like this
test tube 1 ( egg white) The colour changed from pale blue to purpule
test tube 2 (cooking oil) There was a cloudy and milky layer at the top
Conclusion: there was a presence of protein
