Proyecto “Relato de un Náufrago “
El viernes 15 de noviembre, en la clase de Lengua, comenzamos un proyecto final en grupos que consistía en hacer nuestra propia balsa en base a la información analizada en “Relato de un Náufrago”. Cada integrante del grupo tenía una tarea específica que cumplir.Bernardita Reynal buscó información sobre la balsa. Mora Sturla y Nina Gil trajeron los materiales correspondientes. Mateo Rath era el puente entre la profesora y nosotros ante cualquier duda que quisiéramos consultar. A mí me tocó dar a conocer todo nuestro trabajo a través de la redacción.
Armar el proyecto fue muy divertido. Mora y Nina trajeron cartón, el cual usamos de base para la balsa y parte de la aleta del tiburón. Con los palitos de helado armamos los remos que usó Luis Alejandro Velasco durante diez días. Logramos hacer el efecto del mar y la red de la balsa con telas, cintas e hilos de colores. El personaje principal, Luis Alejandro Velasco, lo representamos en un muñeco Lego.
Utilizamos la siguiente cita para poder armar nuestra balsa: “Es una embarcación fabricada de corcho y forrada de una tela impermeabilizada con pintura blanca, pero el piso no es fijo sino que cuelga de un marco de corcho, como una canasta.

thailand tsunami project
This term we’ve been working with natural disasters. Angie put us in groups and we did different activities. Every group made a presentation about different natural and human disasters and me and my group made a presentation about the 2004 Thailand tsunami.

Then, our other task was to make a video with a interviewer and 3 survivors of the tsunami and talk about their experiences on the disaster. My group was composed by: Santiago Ortiz Pando, Nina Gil and Bautista Subira.

Detecting DNA on strawberries 13/11/19
Today in the lab we did an experiment to detect the DNA of strawberries.

Biology Chapter 16 Activity
Today we answered some multiple choice questions (that are in the CD of the Biology Book) in pairs and then we corrected the answers all together. I was with Mora Sturla. this were our answers:

Germination
On Wednesday 23rd, we went to the lab to make a new experiment related to germination. We used a jar, soil and a potato that had already started to germinate.
First, we filled half the jar with soil. Then, we cut a piece of potato and placed it on top of it. I worked with Juan Manuel Crinitti.
The Lemon Orchard
Last class we worked with a new poem “The Lemon Orchard” We made a doc about some topics pato told us to work with. I was with Josefina Porretti.
Lab Work 30/10/19
Yesterday we did an experiment to test the PH of different substances. We used 3 red litmus papers and 3 blue litmus papers to find out if these were acid, bases/alkaline or neutral.
These were the results:
Substance 1= blue litmus paper: red; red litmus paper: red (acid)
Substance 2= blue litmus paper: blue; red litmus paper: blue (alkaline/bases)
Substance 3= blue litmus paper: blue; red litmus paper: red (neutral)
